Automatically Watermark Facebook Content

Watermark you content on Facebook

Facebook is the most well-known platform for users, small businesses, and big companies. Therefore, the uploaded content in it is enormous and impossible to supervise without a brand’s watermark.

The great thing about Facebook is that you can upload your work and share it with people worldwide for minimal costs.

However, people, including your competitors, can illegally download, copy and even use your work without permission. Thus, you need to protect the legal rights of your content by implementing the accurate method of watermarking videos and photos.

What is a Watermark?

While you can always take legal actions, the easiest and fastest way to protect your digital work is watermarking them. Watermarks discourage the illegal use of creative material without the permission of its creator.

Watermark protects your content in social media platforms

Now you might wonder about this particular technique:

  • What is video watermarking?
  • What is a watermark in a photo?
  • Can you apply watermarks to all your content?
  • Is it indispensable to implement for your online content?

We will clarify all these questions in this article by providing an additional guide on how you can easily watermark Facebook photos and videos with Publer.

Watermarks are usually a logo, stamp, or signature placed over the image or video without covering or interrupting it. That is why marketers typically place watermarks in the corners. Sometimes they’re also transparent to keep the visual content untouched.

Whether positioned above a photo or video, it demonstrates that the content belongs to your page and can be used only to your account or by your authorization. Privacy and copyright issues are undoubtedly a matter of importance. Therefore, putting a Facebook watermark automatically on any content type holds a significant value.

Besides protecting your work, watermarks also help you grow your brand awareness. Users will instantly connect the watermark with your company as soon as they see your logo, so they will immediately think of your brand.

Automatically Watermark Your Photos & Videos

There is a wide variety of platforms and software to choose from, both online and downloadable, that helps you watermark your photos and videos.

If you prefer going on with the old way, start by choosing a template and adding the watermark. It’s easier if you upload a file in PNG format. Extract the watermark layer, select its position, and resize it appropriately.

Is it necessary to waste your time when Publer facilitates the process?

Publer’s here to eliminate that intermediary step. Automatically watermark every single photo and video you post on Facebook! No editing skills are required!

Creating a Watermark

First, you need to set up the watermarks for each social account in your dashboard. To do so, go to Accounts, and select the icon of the social account you’re working on.

You can create up to 10 watermarks for each social account. This will help you choose the perfect watermark in just a click at any time (dark watermarks don’t look good on dark photos and so on).

For each Watermark, you need to upload a logo (PNG file), provide a name, set the default size, opacity and position. Its size is the percentage of the general size of the photo or video the watermark is being used on. This way the watermark will always be proportional to the photo or video you’re uploading.

Insert the business logo on Facebook as a watermark.

When selecting what watermark to use, you will be choosing one from a list of names.. If you want a watermark to be used automatically on each photo and video, simply check the checkbox “Default Watermark for this Account”.

Watermarking Photos

Besides being able to select the Album to which the Photo(s) should go to, you will now see an option to use any of the saved watermarks. You can also make any last-minute changes to the default settings (position, size & opacity) or even preview your watermarked Photo.

You can select multiple Accounts and add a [different] watermark for each Account without having to do it one by one. Watermarks can be added to individual photos as well as to multi-photo posts, albums, and photos uploaded in bulk.

That’s it! Publish your watermarked post right away, or (auto) schedule it for later.

Watermarking Videos

Similarly, when uploading a video, you will now see an option to use any of the saved watermarks. You can always make any last-minute changes to the default settings (position, size & opacity).

Because watermarking videos take some time, you will only be able to preview a frame of the video (the selected thumbnail).

That’s it! Publish your watermarked video right away, or (auto) schedule it for later.

Why Is The Size In %

Photos and Videos come in different sizes. If we use a fixed size for watermarks, they won’t always look good. A proportional automatic save is much more guaranteed by using the percentage method to size your watermark. The larger the photo or video, the larger the watermark.

Does This Come With The Free Version? – One good news and one bad news.

The bad news is that this does not come for free (you can still try it for free). The good news is that it comes with the cheapest paid version, Publer Argentum. Only $9.99/month and you can automatically watermark all your Facebook photos as well as schedule them in bulk.

Keep in mind that in order to use watermarks on videos, you need Publer Aurum.

Top 3 Benefits of Watermarking Facebook Photos/Videos

Remember that we promised to clarify all of your questions?

Now it’s time to explain why adding a watermark in a photo or video is essential for your online images or clips, especially on the Facebook platform.

Facebook platform internationally

1: Claim Your Content’s Ownership.

After hours of efforts and enthusiasm, it would be unpleasant that someone on the internet could easily use your content as its own just because you didn’t add a watermark on a photo/video’s corner.

If you think that adding a small logo would change your video’s impression, you can always use transparent or opaque watermarks.

2:  Have A Professional Online Presence.

When promoting a company on Facebook and other platforms, watermarking photos and videos is the core value in safety matters. Experienced digital marketers estimate watermarks indispensable to preserve their professional work with their client’s distinctive logo.

If you desire to keep your innovative ideas and unique content safe over the internet and compete decently, a simple detail as a watermark on photos and videos will save and promote the company’s name with a boosted click-through-rate level.

3: Implement Watermark as a Branding Strategy.

As users are constantly digitalizing their activities, it’s worth mentioning how social media impacts their decision-making in purchases.

Videos are becoming increasingly popular in organic reach. Therefore, creating a video and promoting the brand through a distinctive watermark is highly recommended to compete decently in the marketplace.

Watermarking photos on Facebook is the most thoughtful action you can take to promote your business page.

If people still decide to use your watermarked work without asking for your permission, they will be doing you more good than harm. They will simply be advertising your brand for free and get themselves in legal trouble the moment you find out they’ve been using your content without authorization.
