🥊 Elon vs. Brazil: Round 1 📆 Plan Ahead: April ‘24 📸 TikTok’s Photo Play 🎠 More Focus on IG Carousel Posts #️⃣ Understanding Hashtags ▶️ LinkedIn Is Getting “Hip” 🤖 No More AI-Wondering 🥺 Lost in Emoji Translation
Buckle up, folks! Elon Musk is at it again, this time taking on the entire nation of Brazil.
Apparently, a Brazilian judge dared to suggest X block some accounts, and Musk responded by… well, by defiantly unblocking them and calling for the judge to resign.
This whole situation is a hilarious mess – free speech absolutism meets Brazilian bureaucracy!
Get ready for some international drama to unfold on your social media dashboards, because this fight is far from over.
Don’t get surprised if X gets banned in 🇧🇷.

TikTok’s Photo App Is Closer Than We Expected! – But Why Call It “Notes”?
Heads up, Instagram! TikTok appears to be getting even closer to launching its dedicated photo app, with whispers of a new name: TikTok Notes.
This development comes after hints of “TikTok Photos” were discovered in the app’s code. If rumors hold true, TikTok Notes could be a game-changer, allowing users to share still images and potentially connect with entirely new audiences.
This move aligns with recent trends in photo-sharing, particularly the success of Xiaohongshu in China.
Whether TikTok Notes replicates that success or carves its own path remains to be seen, but one thing’s for sure: the battle for social media dominance is heating up!
“TikTok Notes, a new app for photo posts, is coming soon. Your existing and future public TikTok photo posts will be shown on TikTok Notes.”
INSTAGRAM
IG Carousel Posts Are Getting A Cool Update.
Heads up, carousel creators!
Instagram is testing a new feature that could boost engagement on your multi-photo posts. Users in the test group can now comment on specific frames within a carousel.
By adding a number and your comment (e.g., “@2 This outfit is fire!“), you can now directly reference individual images or videos.
This update could spark more focused discussions and make carousel posts even more interactive. But isn’t this practically a comment on a Facebook album picture? 🤔

LINKEDIN
LinkedIn Toks, Reels or Shorts? Who Knows!
Forget endless scrolling through listicles and inspirational quotes – LinkedIn is finally entering the 21st century with a test of a dedicated video feed.
Yep, you heard right! Prepare to be bombarded with bite-sized chunks of industry expertise (or someone’s cat napping on a keyboard – it’s LinkedIn, after all).
This update clearly shows LinkedIn is desperate to compete with the cool kids (TikTok, Instagram) by embracing the power of short-form video. Wonder what they will call them, though.
So dust off those webcams, polish your elevator pitches, and get ready to become the next LinkedIn talking head (because apparently, everyone needs a side hustle these days).
META / FACEBOOK
Meta is Exposing All AI “Fake News”
Meta is getting real with us about what we see on their apps.
The company is updating their AI labelling so you’ll know if that hilarious cat video or perfectly posed influencer pic was actually created by a computer.
No more accidentally liking a robot’s masterpiece!
This is all because AI-generated media is getting more common, and Meta wants to make sure we’re in the know.
So, the next time you scroll through your feed, keep an eye out for those “Made with AI” labels – they might be popping up more often!
P.S. Thankfully AI-generated text cannot be detected by Meta, so your content written with Publer AI Assist, will still be our own little secret. 🤐
STUDY/INFOGRAPHIC
The World’s Most Confusing Emojis
A new study has cracked the code on the most confusing emojis across the globe. (Infographic here)
Apparently, the 🥺 (pleading face emoji) leaves us all scratching our heads, with searches for its meaning topping the charts in 51 countries (including the US). So, is it begging, puppy-dog eyes, or just a touch of sadness? Who knows!
The research done by WordTips also revealed some regional quirks – Canadians and Australians seem particularly confused by 🙃 (upside-down face), while the folks in Argentina just can’t figure out 💖 (sparkling heart).
Moral of the story? Emojis may be little, but they can cause some big misunderstandings. So next time you send a 🥴, make sure your friend is laughing with you, not at you!
