The maximum Twitter video length limit is 140 seconds or 2 minutes and 20 seconds, at least for non-Premium subscribers. This limit applies to both native tweets and those posted via third-party apps like Publer.
Why 140 seconds long? That’s Twitter’s maximum limit for 3rd party apps like Publer.
X Premium subscribers, on the other hand, can upload videos up to 4 hours long with a maximum file size of 16 GB.
Even though we won’t let you schedule videos that are not compatible for the selected social network, here are all the video restrictions for each social network. Keep in mind that these restrictions apply only when using Publer.
Video restriction | |||
Maximum size | 1 GB | 1 GB | 512 MB |
Maximum length | 20 minutes | 20 minutes | 140 seconds |
Resolution | Any | Any | Between 32×32 and 1280×1024 |
Publer supports all video formats. If necessary, as in Twitter’s case, we will automatically convert the video to MP4 for you.
Not only that, but with Publer you can automatically watermark your videos with your very own logo before publishing them on social media. No editing skills required. Yes, we’re that awesome 😎
P.S. Scheduling videos comes only with Publer Aurum, but you can try it for free. The reason why videos (and multi-photo posts) are supported only on the highest-paid plan is because they’re very resource-consuming since they require multiple API calls.
