Speaking of updates, Instagram has lately introduced some new API changes that allowed us to work on new scheduling updates for your Instagram accounts within Publer.
NEW: Schedule Instagram Collab Posts with Publer
Instagram Collab Posts are the perfect opportunity for your business or brand to join forces with other content creators, brands, or influencers related to your niche.
These types of collaborative posts are a dynamic feature that allows two or more Instagram accounts to co-author a single Feed Post or Reel. When a collaborator is tagged, the post appears on all collab accounts simultaneously, sharing performance metrics such as likes, comments, and shares.

Introducing Product Tagging On Instagram Posts!
Instagram Shopping is a game-changer for e-commerce businesses, and if you have not created an Instagram Shopping store yet, make sure you do so.
And if you already have one, Publer is about to make your life much easier with the new Product tagging capabilities! Tagging before scheduling will save so much of your time and effort since now you can schedule all your Instagram posts, even those that need product tags!
The new feature, as well as all the improvements mentioned in this article, are available for both the web platform and the Publer App.

We’ve Upgraded The ‘Tag People’ Feature!
Besides the new Instagram Product tagging feature, we took the liberty to also upgrade our ‘Tag people’ functionally, which is now much more intuitive and cohesive with the new updates.
But what really has changed?
Now you can Tag people both on image-based IG posts and on your scheduled Reels.

How To Tag Products & People On Your Instagram Posts
Whether it’s a Reel or an image-based post, with Publer you can tag People, Products, and even both at the same time while you’re scheduling.
- Go to the Create tab on Publer.
- Upload your media accordingly.
- Hover over the Instagram image/video and click on the tag icon in the bottom right corner.
- Select either ‘Tag people’ or ‘Tag products‘.
- Click anywhere in the photo to start tagging.
- You can always remove a tag by clicking on the x button on the right side of the photo/video.
- Once you have added all your tags, you can click on ‘Save Tags‘ and proceed with publishing the post.
What If Instagram Shopping Is Not Available In Your Region?
While Instagram Shopping is widespread and entering new markets, as we speak, the intuitive shopping feature might not be available in your country yet. You can check if your country is listed among the eligible countries for shopping on Instagram, and if not, there are a few things you can set up while you wait for Instagram Shopping to be available to you. One of them is Link in Bio.
Link in Bio As An Alternative
We know how important getting your customers to your website can be. And without Instagram Shopping, your best solution is Link In Bio.
It has been one of Publer’s best features for a long time, and it is currently being used by thousands of Publer users to drive traffic to their websites and e-commerce stores. The mini-website is easy to set up, and it can automatically link your posted content with the URLs you decide on before scheduling.

Besides working on the new Instagram Shopping capabilities and the improved People Tagging feature, we took the chance to add some extra features for your Reels to our release.
All IG Single Video Posts Will Be Posted As Reels
Lately, Instagram has announced that video posts with less than 15 minutes duration will be shared as Reels.
Following this update, whenever you upload a single video post to schedule it through Publer, it will be previewed and posted as a Reel.
You can check if you are happy with the dimensions of the Reel and how it will look on the feed or make changes if needed.
Rename The Original Audio In Your Reels
Renaming the original audio of your Reel before scheduling might seem like a small detail, but it can have a significant impact on your content’s reach, recognition, and overall engagement.
When you rename the original audio of your Reel, you create a distinctive identity for your content. This allows your audience to associate a specific name or phrase with your creations, making it easier for them to recognize your content in their feeds.
Your original audio could become viral one day, and whenever that day comes, creators all over Instagram will have your branded audio on their content.
Over time, this recognition can lead to increased visibility, more followers, and a stronger brand presence.
How To Rename The Original Audio In A Reel
Renaming the original audio of your Reel before scheduling with Publer is available on both the web platform and the mobile app. The process is quite straightforward:
- Select the Instagram account you wish to schedule /publish the Reel on.
- Choose ‘Reel‘ from the post options at the top.
- Upload the video you wish to post.
- On the ‘Rename audio‘ field, insert the name you want to be displayed in the post.
The same logic also applies to the Publer App, where you can find the proper space for you to rename your Reel audio.

Instagram Shopping is yet to become available in the Albanian market. And it was difficult for our team based in Tirana to develop and test the new feature unless we had a bit of help.
