I know how devastating this year has been so I sincerely hope this message finds you and your loved ones well. I really do.
As a small startup, I cannot thank you enough for your loyalty. When the pandemic hit all of us back in March, we started losing 5-10 paying customers a day. As an entrepreneur I was scared, but instead of laying off people or cutting salaries like most companies, I decided to do the opposite.
I truly believe in this community and what we’re building together. So I hired more people, gave bonuses & raises, and for the customers in need, we tried to help as much as we could by offering free months and by adding the option to pause payments. As a result, against all odds, this year we saw the biggest growth in our history. Thank you!
Despite the unpredictableness of this year, we were still able to accomplish around 3/4 of the tentative roadmap (browser extensions are already Live and the new calendar view & link in bio will be released early in January).
Some of the main goals for next year include agency features (white-label solution, better-organized workspaces, more roles, multi-level approval process), some rebranding, building the Android & iOS apps, releasing a public API, and launching our second product (a unified inbox for emails, messages, reviews, comments, and live chat).
We will release the tentative roadmap for 2021, which will be based on your feedback, in the first week of January. Please cast your votes or submit your feature requests at your earliest convenience.
Thank you again for being with us this difficult year. We’re looking forward to making together, a better 2021.
Warmest wishes,
Ervin Kalemi
Founder & CEO
In the name of challenges and unexpected worldwide stories, we’re saying Goodbye to the virtual year 2020.
Is it a year to remember or forget?
Among all the ups and downs, not only did we survive, but we grew stronger than ever and shaped our product like never before.
We tracked, collected, and realized that our potential was more than we thought. We fueled up by international #hashtags, pivotally changed our mindset, and tried to make the best for the social media experience, while keeping an eye opened for the social distancing.
The whole pandemic situation hit numerous small businesses. To make sure we were somehow a shoulder to lean on, we now count 135 paused subscriptions from different customers and countries.
It was the time to think about the big picture and solidarity.
This year, the not-so-famous online meeting tools turned out to be the daily essential ones.
We conducted hundreds of Demos on Google Meet and Zoom explaining all the ins and outs of Publer, as well as helping everyone connect accounts properly.
We communicated via Slack with all our team members and managed to solve issues, make fun of and pranks to each other, prepare virtual birthday surprises, and so much more. Even though we were all working remotely, there wasn’t a single day we didn’t reach out to each other to make sure everything was working fine: health, and work-wise.
Also, we managed to create a brand new Help Center from scratch in less than 1 week, with detailed informative articles, helpful videos, and screenshots.
We know how important an online presence was this year. Every small business would devote more to curating a nice social media feed and try to free up some time to engage with customers. Putting efforts into creating a better marketing plan to survive and raise through any difficulties, is what shaped every day.
Just like that, we welcomed 9 more self-motivated and young-minded members who put a lot of effort into every new update you’ve been introduced on Publer. The number of paying customers raised to almost 11K; more than 3 million photos and videos were scheduled via Publer; all our social accounts grew exponentially: Pinterest (360K+), Twitter (8K+), Facebook (12K+), etc.
Also, we’re over 1.5K members in our private Facebook Group, Publer Nation.
Promoting Publer and spreading the word sky-rocketed through 743 devoted brand ambassadors. They all helped promote, boost awareness, drive huge sales, and influence their own audience positively. We let our loyal customers do the talk!
We’re aware of the opportunity we’re holding.
We’re aware of the rapid changes that impacted everyone around the world. And that’s why we provided fast, experienced, and high-quality digital solutions.
We already know how important it is to get real-time feedback and highlight that what everyone needs is a friendly environment.
We got daily doses of inspiration after every comment, like, review, and suggestion we received.
Your amazing words and support have boosted our motivation every day.
Our resolution for 2021 is to focus on our health, grow through any catalytic competition, support, and get to know our customers better.
Just like any other year, we’re aiming to listen to our audience and create a powerful roadmap to follow through.
If we could turn back the time and get asked whether we would strike-through the most of our roadmap’s features, we would have answered with a firm ‘No idea’. But, we were all together and our customer’s support sky-rocketed our motivation.
Getting suggestions, ideas, correct information, and staying focused on what’s really important is what we’ve decided to do.
Our mission is to stay positive, put customers first, and dedicate hundreds of working hours per week.
As we say Goodbye to 2020, let’s take a moment to think that we really should be grateful for being emotionally mature, close to our family, and live a happy life.
Cheers, to a healthy new year!
